When Isak Dinesen abandoned Africa for her native Denmark in 1931, she had little more than her memories to accompany her. Fortunately, her passion for the rugged Kenyan landscape bridged the distance between continents--and inspired her to write one of the greatest love stories of our time. Our Antelope Letter Desk is born of a similar passion. Resting atop four gracefully curved, banded base legs, the slim desktop serves as a stately contrast to the leaping, stag like frame. The desk is richly finished to enhance the natural wood grain. Thoughtful details, like the curved-face pen drawer and tooled leather work surface recall the fine craftsmanship of another era.
