Named in honor of the first uniquely American architectural style, this Prairie School exposed shelving unit is in keeping with the elemental nature of this early 20th century ideal. Featuring cantilevered shelves suspended by simple, unadorned iron grids, the airy unit functions both as a room divider and display unit. Individual cubbies are designed to frame each object or group of objects into discrete collections, adding to the contemplative feeling of the design. Although constructed for today, the classic detailing and restrained style suggest a historical significance typically associated with much more expensive furnishings.
