The Ashton Sofa by Stanley Furniture is the most laid-back frame in our seating collection. It sits low, at 26 inches overall, and runs 45 inches deep, with wide flared arms that lean outward and two oversized seat cushions that spill past the arm fronts. In a room, it reads refined but approachable: the proportions are generous, the lines are soft, and it works as easily in a transitional living room as in a casual family room.

That depth is the point. Sit back and your knees clear the cushion edge; curl up and there is room to tuck your feet. The 9-inch arms are low enough to lean an elbow on or throw a leg over, and loose back cushions let you settle in rather than sit up. Small dark block feet keep the whole piece close to the floor, which makes it feel settled and makes the room feel open.

Underneath the fabric, the Ashton is built the way furniture used to be. The frame is kiln-dried hardwood, primarily solid alder, with corner blocks that are glued, stapled and screwed so it stays square. The seat rides on arched 8.5-gauge sinuous steel springs with double tie-wires, which is why it stays quiet and never sags. Cushions are a high-density foam core wrapped in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber, as soft as down without the feathers, so they keep their shape without constant fluffing. Every Ashton is built to order in the USA in your choice of 60+ fabrics and delivered in 6 to 8 weeks.

1. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact our Customer Support team within 48 hours of delivery and follow the Return Process outlined below. If the issue is our error, we’ll make it right at no cost to you. We’ll work with you to determine the best resolution, whether that is replacement parts, a repair, a replacement shipment, or a full refund.

If the return is due to damage, defect, or our error, Stanley Furniture covers all costs, including return shipping, replacement shipments, replacement parts, repairs, or a full refund, as applicable.

2. Change-of-mind

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify:

• Item must be unused and in original condition
• Original packaging, hardware, manuals, and accessories must be included
• Item must not be assembled, installed, or modified

Please note:

• You are responsible for return shipping costs
• Delivery fees (Standard Delivery, Front Door Delivery, White Glove Delivery, and any oversize or remote-area fee) are non-refundable.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

• Final sale or clearance items
• Made-to-order products
• Items sold "as-is"
• Assembled or installed items.

Once the item is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 14 business days. For change-of-mind returns, refunds apply to the merchandise value only, unless the return is due to Stanley Furniture’s error.

4. Return Process

Contact our Customer Support team with:

• Proof of Purchase
• Proof of Delivery
• Reason for return
• Photos and videos of the item and packaging showing clearly the shipping label

Once approved, we will provide return instructions and next steps.

5. Refunds

• Refunds are issued to the original payment method
• Once the item is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 14 business days
• Refunds apply to the merchandise value only. Delivery fees (Standard Delivery, Front Door Delivery, White Glove Delivery, and any oversize or remote-area fee) are non-refundable unless the return is due to a Stanley Furniture error.

6. Delivery Inspection Recommendation

We recommend inspecting your furniture upon delivery and notifying us promptly if there are any visible issues. Any damage discovered after delivery must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, with supporting photos, to be considered for a warranty claim. To qualify for coverage, damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Issues reported after this window may not be eligible for warranty coverage.

We also recommend keeping the original packaging during the inspection period to help facilitate faster resolutions if needed.
