Ashton Chaise Sectional Sofa

The Ashton Chaise Sectional Sofa by Stanley Furniture is the Ashton sofa with somewhere to lie down. It pairs the Ashton One-Arm Sofa with the Ashton One-Arm Chaise as a single set, so the only decisions are your fabric and which side the chaise goes on. Two deep seats run along the back and the chaise extends 70 inches forward, with the Ashton's low, wide flared arms at each end. At 118 inches wide and 26 inches tall it has a big footprint and a low profile, which is why it works in an open-plan room without blocking the view.

The sit is pure Ashton: 45 inches deep on the sofa side, loose back cushions, seat cushions that run past the arm fronts. The chaise is long enough to stretch out fully with your head on the back cushion and your feet short of the end. With both pieces joined there is no seam to feel at the corner seat.

Both pieces are built on kiln-dried hardwood frames, primarily solid alder, with corner blocks that are glued, stapled and screwed so they stay square. Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous steel springs with double tie-wires support every seat quietly and without sag. Cushions are a high-density foam core wrapped in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber, as soft as down without the feathers, so they keep their shape without constant fluffing.
