The Hartwell Chaise Sectional Sofa by Stanley Furniture is the Hartwell everyone ends up on, with a chaise added so one more person can lie down. It pairs the Hartwell One-Arm Sofa with the Hartwell One-Arm Chaise as a single set, so the only decisions are your fabric and which side the chaise goes on. Soft rounded 8-inch arms at each end, two deep seats along the back, a 69-inch chaise down the side, and a 30-inch profile that keeps the room feeling open.

The sit is the Hartwell sit: 44 inches deep on the sofa side, loose back cushions, arms padded all the way around so they double as a headrest. It is the piece for a family room that gets used every night, for kids and dogs and movie nights, where someone always wants their feet up.

Both pieces share the Hartwell bones. The frames are kiln-dried hardwood, primarily solid alder, with corner blocks that are glued, stapled and screwed so they never loosen. Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous steel springs with double tie-wires support every seat quietly and without sag. Cushions are a high-density foam core wrapped in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber, as soft as down without the feathers, so they keep their loft without daily fluffing.
