Description
A rounded corner for a rounded collection. Built to order in America, the Mercer Round Wedge by Stanley Furniture does the job of the Corner Wedge, opening a sectional out past 90 degrees so both runs face the room, and rounds off the outside corner. On a collection drawn in one continuous curve it is the corner that belongs: seen from behind, where a sectional floats in the middle of a room, the arc of the wedge picks up the arc of the arms. The low back follows the curve, and the seat is as deep as every other Mercer.
- Craftsman-built frame of kiln-dried hardwood, primarily solid alder, corner-blocked and reinforced with glue, staples and screws, so the curve stays true.
- Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous springs with double tie-wires deliver quiet, no-sag support in every seat.
- Seat and back cushions wrap a high-density foam core in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber: the softness of down, hypoallergenic and feather-free, so they soften in without going flat.
- A curved outside edge. See the Corner Wedge for the same angle with a straight back, or the Corner Chair for a square corner.
- Joins with any Mercer one-arm or armless piece on both open sides.

Construction
Frame. Kiln-dried hardwood, primarily solid alder, reinforced with corner blocks, glue, staples and screws so it never loosens or warps.
Support. Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous springs with double tie-wires in every seat base, for quiet, no-sag support.
Cushions. High-density foam core wrapped in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber. The softness of down, hypoallergenic and feather-free, and it holds its shape without daily fluffing. Meets California residential flame-retardancy standards.
